President’s Message
Welcome to Nova Scotia and to the Bed & Breakfast Association’s website. Each of our properties offers the traditional “B&B Experience” – you will be welcomed with genuine warmth and offered the very best our hosts have to offer – comfortable beds, good food and interesting conversation – all in a “home away from home” atmosphere. Share the experiences you have had with other guests whilst relaxing in the living room with a nice cup of tea or coffee.
All member properties of the NSBBA are licensed and meet or exceed the requirements of the Nova Scotia Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage. They are inspected on a regular basis, and in addition, each property adheres to a published “Code of Conduct” to ensure our guests have a quality experience.
Our member properties are located throughout the province in our cities, towns, villages and rural hamlets. Architectural designs range from heritage properties to farms to contemporary homes. You will be staying in a private home in which your host resides, there will be four or fewer bedrooms and breakfast is provided at no additional cost.
Some member properties subscribe to property rating companies in addition to their membership in our association.
Your B&B hosts will be happy to tell you all about the local restaurants, beaches, trails, golf courses, festivals, musical events, museums and other cultural points of interest. Above all, they are committed to providing an unequalled level of hospitality, a quality experience and they all look forward to welcoming you into their homes.
